That means he or she will pretty much do what he or she wants to do. Cats choose their own places for reasons we often do not appreciate because we are not cats ourselves. Sure, you should try to avoid your cat sleeping on clean laundry or certain furniture or on electrical appliances, but if its safe and does not cause damage in any way, let the cat be happy.
